Rhenium-doped tungsten powder is an alloy with tungsten as matrix and different contents of rhenium added. Tungsten and rhenium are refractory metals. A proper amount of rhenium dissolved in tungsten can form solid solution alloys. Under the "rhenium effect", the tungsten-rhenium alloy has higher plasticity, higher recrystallization temperature, better creep resistance at high temperature, higher thermoelectric potential and higher resistivity than pure tungsten. The tungsten-rhenium alloy has good electrical properties, ductility and machability, and can be used for high temperature thermocouple and cathode wire. Tungsten-rhenium alloys have better mechanical properties at high temperature than pure tungsten and can be machinedand welded.
Rhenium has the following properties: high melting point, strong resistance to chemical corrosion, ductility after recrystallization, high resistivity over a wide range of temperatures, low vapor pressure, good oxidation resistance at high temperatures, and good shock resistance. When more than 0.1% rhenium is added to tungsten, the material improvement effect begins to highlight, and with the increase of rhenium content, the effect also gradually improves. The commonly used low rhenium grades of tungsten-rhenium alloys are 1%, 3%, 5%, and high rhenium grades are 25% and 26%.
The series of rhenium doped tungsten powder developed by UMM adopts unique wet doping process, which has the characteristics of uniform distribution of rhenium and other doping phases, low impurity content, uniform particle size distribution, easy molding and reprocessing.
Applicable features:
UMM series of rhenium doped tungsten powder series dedicated to production of high-end tungsten base material, high quality, high performance requirements or deformation processing of manufactured goods, such as plate, sheet, wire, wire, rod, can replace pure tungsten, lanthanum, cerium tungsten and tungsten doping tungsten and tungsten materials, than pure tungsten has higher strength, service life and high temperature stable performance, the characteristics of higher performance to price ratio. They are mostly used in high temperature structural parts (nozzle, nozzle, heat shield, etc.), special filament, electrode, electronic components, etc.
