Product description
Niobium metal can be cold-pressed into rods, sheets, wire and other products. Niobium can withstand high temperature and high strength, and still has sufficient strength, good plasticity and thermal conductivity above 1000°C. Superconductivity is best at extremely low temperatures. For example, its resistance is close to zero at minus 260°C. It is currently the most important superconducting material.
Application: Niobium wire and niobium-zirconium alloy wire are widely used in the fields of chemistry, electronics, aviation and aerospace due to their high melting point, corrosion resistance, and good cold working performance. The addition of zirconium to niobium can significantly improve the oxidation resistance and strength of the material. Niobium and niobium-zirconium alloy wires are widely used in the manufacture of high pressure sodium lamps and anode leads of electrolytic capacitors.
