A large amount of vanadium-containing solid waste is produced in many industrial production processes. On the one hand, if these vanadium-containing solid wastes are piled up at will without disposal, it will not only occupy a lot of land resources, increase the cost of enterprises, but also bring harm to the natural environment and people's life and health; on the other hand, vanadium-containing solid wastes Solid waste contains many metals with important economic value, which should be actively recycled to turn waste into treasure and harm into benefit, thereby creating considerable economic and social benefits.

Solid wastes containing Spherical vanadium powder products mainly come from petroleum, chemical, steelmaking, vanadium mining and other fields, petroleum refining, sulfuric acid production, chemical production (such as nylon, polyester, polyvinyl chloride and propylene) and other industrial production The vanadium waste generated in the process is the most common, of which the vanadium-containing waste catalyst is the main form. Vanadium-containing waste catalysts are mainly divided into two types: one is the waste catalyst derived from petroleum refining, and the vanadium in crude oil is deposited on the catalyst in the form of V3S4. This vanadium-containing waste catalyst contains vanadium pentoxide 10%- 20%, which is a relatively economical raw material for vanadium extraction; the other is a waste catalyst from the sulfuric acid industry, in which vanadium is added as an active component (pentavalent vanadium) in the form of vanadium compounds, and its main component is no Active tetravalent vanadium. Currently, the world produces about 800,000 tons of vanadium-containing waste catalysts every year, including about 415,000 tons of oil refining waste catalysts and 335,000 tons of chemical waste catalysts.
