1. Properties of rhenium dioxide

Rhenium dioxide, dark brown solid substance. Monoclinic structure. The density is 11.4~11.6g/cm3. Boiling point 1363 ℃. But at 700 °C, it begins to decompose, producing metal rhenium and rhenium heptaoxide. It has inhalation properties, poor volatility, and can form perrhenate by eutectic fusion with alkali in air. Slightly soluble in water, insoluble in dilute acid, soluble in concentrated halogen acid. It is easy to react with nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide to generate rhenic acid. Rhenium dioxide powder

2. Properties of rhenium trioxide

Rhenium trioxide or rhenium(VI) oxide is an oxide of rhenium with the chemical formula ReO3. It is a red solid with metallic luster and is a rare stable trioxide in the VIIB group elements. The resistivity of rhenium trioxide is unusually low compared to typical oxides. Similar to metals, its resistivity decreases with temperature. At 300K, its resistivity is 100.0nΩ·m, and at 100K, it drops to 6.0nΩ·m. Rhenium trioxide is chemically inactive. The general rhenium trioxide products on the market are mostly rhenium trioxide powder.
