Tungsten plates, tungsten sheets and tungsten targets are usually produced into compacts by powder metallurgy and then heated and forged at high temperatures. Depending on the processing technology and surface treatment, they appear gray-black or bright silver. After rolling with a deformation of more than 60%, the density of the tungsten plate is basically close to the theoretical density of tungsten. Therefore, it has high strength, uniform internal structure and excellent high temperature creep resistance.
Tungsten rods, tungsten bars and tungsten electrodes are finished products of pure tungsten metal processed by high temperature and high pressure. The appearance is black or bright silver depending on the processing technology. Tungsten rods have the characteristics of high melting point, low thermal expansion coefficient and good thermal conductivity, and are widely used in traditional industry and military.
Tungsten rhenium alloy is an alloy composed of tungsten and rhenium, among which the common rhenium content is 3%, 5%, 25% and 26%. Tungsten rhenium alloy has good electrical conductivity, ductility and processability, and its wire can be used for high temperature thermocouple and cathode wire.<br>
